Protege walked through the forest, his ever-alert eyes taking in every detail, from twigs on the gound to animals in the trees. It wasn't as if he was planning a theft right in the forest. However, being a theif had taught him to always pay attention, since there was always a chance that someone who recognized him might come across his path again, and if that ever happened, he had to make sure that he knew where the person was coming from in advance and also know a place to hide.
Hopping over a protruding tree root, Protege thought about where he should go. The merchants in the human cities were probably wealthy, but there would be guards who would be annoying hinderances. Protege preferred simple plans, and didn't like it when he had to plan around multiple people, or cause some kind of diversion. Of course, stealing in a human town would be much easier than stealing from the drow, although it wouldn't be as much fun, and Protege would not dare to steal from his own folk, unless the person was a ruthless criminal who deserved to be stolen from. Making up his mind, Protege decided to head for the human city. However, since he was wrapped up in his thoughts, he did not notice a tree root that was sticking out of the ground, and tripped over it, landing flat on his face.
"Great way to begin a journey, Protege," he said to himself as he pushed himself up. "Tripping over the easiest avoided obstacle. What a great way to build your confidence."

Light filtered through the leaves giving it a greenish tint. Kaia walked slowly through them, head turned sky wards, yet she was still listening with her keen ears for any unusual noises.
She heard what sounded like something moving through the bushes. Curiosity got the better of her and she went to investigate. Climbing silently into a tree she watched the High Elf trip over a root. Unable to contain a smile she jumped down from the branch she had been sitting on and introduced herself. "I'm Kaia, who are you?" she spoke in a casual, but cautious voice. Never being one to say to much before she was sure that the person she was speaking to was okay. She had learned to be cautious through experience.
"I think there would be easier things to trip over or run it, like a tree for example," she stated this with a slight hint of sarcasm in her tone. "I take it your name is Protege?" she asked, but didn't wait for an answer. "Sorry for listening in on what you are saying, but activity in this forest rarely goes un-noticed.

Osha jumped from tree to tree, following her cousin, who she assumed had forgotten about her. Suddenly her cousin had dissapeared from sight, so Osha decided to go to lower grounds. She jumped down from the trees, as the sun beat down on her, forcing Osha to squint if she wanted to see anything. Osha landed in a crouch position, when she spotted her cousin in the distance, Osha hopped to her feet. As Oshas feet carried her swiftly over the tree branches, roots, puddles and all sorts of things that lay on her path to her cousin, her blonde hair glistened in the sunshine. Osha was so silent she managed to sneak up from behind her cousin.
Reaching out her hand and placing it on her Kaias' shoulder, "So you forgot about me so soon?" Osha said giving Kaia a wink.
Once spotting the boy who was getting back onto his feet, she smirked, "This your work Kaia, won another battle? Remeber we don't train on mere beings, that is way beyond your level." Osha laughed deep in her throat.
"Or did my cousin knock you over with her beauty?" Osha said jokingly as she extended her hand towards the boy for a shake, "The names' Osha."
I wonder if we'll just get shunned upon by this fellow...Osha thought to herself once noticing the boy was a pure-bred high elf.

As soon as Protege heard a voice, he used his hands to force himself up, so that he could stand straight up without growing closer to the source of the voice. He had learned long ago that getting up right next to someone might not be a good idea, especially when they might be hunting you. However, as he listened to the girl speak, he relaxed a little bit, for apparently he wasn't in danger. When she stated her name was Kaia, he was about to reply, when another girl appeared. He listened to the other girl speak, and found out that they were cousins, and also that the second girl's name was Osha.
Sticking out a gloved hand, he shook Osha's hand while saying, "My name is Protege. As for being sprawled on the ground, that was not of your cousin's doing. It was the work of a wandering mind." Turning to the other girl, he said, "You are right. Activities in the forest rarely do go unnoticed. However, motives for the actions often do. So, what brings you two out to the woods?"

Osha looked at Protege strangely, "So you are telling me, that a wandering mind, came and threw you to the ground?"
Osha looked at Kaia with one eye-brow raised at the thought of this weird boy, "You are sure good at finding insane ones Kaia, I can give you that."
Osha took a seat on a tree-stump near by, and crossed her legs, then looked up at the sky, the sun creeping out, and managing to give a warm breeze. Osha then spotted a nice piece of wood, that would do well for a part of an arrow. Being easily bored she went to pick up the wood, and took out her carving knife from her sack, that she carried with her at all times. Immediatly she began to carve, a smooth and perfect arrow. Then she decided she would decorate it with designs of her journey back to Kingdoms of Adunasir.
Looking up at the boy, she gave him a sly look, Should I give him a scare, or will he fall deeper into the depths of insanity? Osha thought while she inspected her fine work.

Protege let out a bark of a laugh at the statement. Speaking sarcastically, he said,"No, I wasn't thrown down by the wandering mind. It distracted me from my path, and unfortunately I took a fall because of that mistake. But if you see the wandering mind, tell it that I am hunting him."
Leaning back against a tree, he watched Osha carve an arrow. It was done quick and skillfully, with no flaws. "So, are you a fletcher? Or do you just feel like designing arrows every now and then? I whittle occasionally, but I never had a knack for making arrows. I prefer throwing knives, simple weapons that get the job done without the worry about breaking a wepaon and needing to make a new batch every so often." Reaching to his side, he picked a few knives out and showed them to her. Reaching into a different pouch, he grabbed a stone and started sharpening the knives. "Of course, they need to be sharpened every now and then."

Osha laughed at Proteges' comment, about the wandering mind, "Oh I see, I will tell the wandering mind that, next time a see him."
"I like designing arrows a lot, I am really into archery, but that isn't my best talent, magic is." Ondrea smiled, she decided she would give Protege a fright.
She raised her bow, and shot an arrow, which skiimmed the side of his head, and hit the tree behind him, and she smirked a bit.
"Nice knives you got there, Kaia here, is really good with those. Yes you do have to make new arrows a lot, but that is fine by me, gives me something to do." Osha said as she stood back up, "Yeah, I would think that you would have to sharpen them, or there would be no point in them- just a waist of space."

"Hey Raven! This is my cousin, who I was telling you about Kaia." Osha said pointing at her cousin with a worried look on her face, what would Kaia do if she found out that she had snuck out, without her there...
"This here is Protege, we just met. So Raven what brings you out here today?" Osha asked, happy to see Raven.

"Ehh I had nothing to do and just thought I'd explore a little," Raven replied with a weak smile. "I came here by random really." Jade was happy to run into someone she knew. "Hi Protege, Hi Kaia, how are you guys today?"

ooc- Wow I missed a lot. Sorry if the post is a whole lot of review.
BIC- Kaia remained silent when her cousin commented that she often ran into odd people. She suppressed laugh as her cousin commented on how a wandering mind knocked Protege over, but could not help but smile.
Leaning against a tree she watched a bird flutter past. Her eyes fell on the throwing knifes that had been brought out, "That is good craftsmanship."
Kaia opened her mouth to reply to Osha's last comment, but was cut off when somebody walked into the clearing. "Hi Raven."
Not angry, but still a bit about why Osha had snuck away she looked over at her cousin. I don't like this. What would happen if our uncle showed up, she is not powerful enough in close range battle to beat him. She could be re-captured. Osha was like a sister to Kaia, they had grown up together and then were separated when a disaster struck their lives. Kaia had no intention of letting that happen again. "I see you have met Raven before Osha, you shouldn't go off alone for long. Was it not you who wanted to stick together in case our uncle decided to show up?"
"I am fine today, thanks Raven, and how are you?" she said in a polite voice.

Osha smiled and nodded at Raven, oh crap, I know she is gonna say something... Osha thought to herself, as she looked at Kaia.
She was right, there it went, ' I see you have met Raven before Osha, you shouldn't go off alone for long. Was it not you who wanted to stick together in case our uncle decided to show up?.'
Osha drew a breath, rolling her eyes slightly, "No Kaia, it was not I who said such things..." Osha said sarcastically, "I did wish that, it is a large burdern for you to carry, my dear cousin. However while you were sleeping, I could not close my eyes for more then a moment. I did not want to wake you, so that you would have to babysit me, as I went to look around the village. Really I couldn't resist visiting the lake, but seriously what are the chances..." Osha cut herself off, in her wild day dream, of the lake, and swimming.
"So... Who feels like going swimming???" Osha said, then remembering Ravens' question, "No I have not seen any beasts or creatures about, I would really like to though... If you see when notify me at once, so I can come. Just say these words, 'Twiddle de twiddle dum, come on Vankrie the Volture, please will you come...' and my pet volture will come to your service to send me messages. He is really friendly you know." Osha trailed off.
"So swimming, anyone?"

Osha tried to smile at Raven, but as usual she could never crack a smile, then she looked at the other two, "Are you guys coming?"
Osha looked back at Raven, "Yah doing fun things, is always good, to take your mind off things."
