For over a day and a half, Lyconus at been meditating in the town square. No one had bothered him for fear that he would strike them down and a small gathering had come into being to watch this man meditate. Lyconus' reason for meditating was so that he could get a grasp on the events that he had been through of late.

Creil had only just arrived in the city Rhyfaugh, and had recently decided to visit the town square, to see what the people were like, and to see if he could find out anything about the paladin order here, or meet any paladin's on the off chance. His burnished silver armour gleamed in the sun, and his visor was up, revealing his shoulder length blond hair and bright blue eyes. As he crossed the square, he noticed a man deep in meditation. Creil smiled to himself, A proper fellow indeed. he thought to himself. Wordlessly, Creil approached the meditating man, and knelt beside him, placing his hands together in a gesture of benediction. He quietly began to intone a prayer to his god, without openly acknowledging the man he had just knlet down beside, rather, completing his prayer, and waiting to see how the fellow would react.

Lyconus smelled a strong scent nearby him but kept silent and made no facial gestures.

Creil continued to pray, and the two sat in medatative silence for several hours. As the afternoon wore on, Creil stood, and moved around to stand in front of the other man, "Thou art truly a man of honour, and thy meditation draws mine respect. Wouldst thou accept my blessing, my son? Hast thou sinned? And wish to confess? God is ever forgiving, and his guidance, doth come freely, to those who wouldst listen." He said to the meditating man in his deep, thick voice.

He slowly opened his eyes and he had a new deep respect for this man. "I thank you for your kind comments, and I haven't sinned in awhile but if you wish, you may give your blessing and prayer." He replied to the man while slowly getting up. "Heh....always gives you a cramp in your legs."

Creil smiled knowingly as he opened Lyconus's palms, and kissed his forehead, "All men sin," He said, with a sly smile, "It is how the church doth remain so prosperous, i do fear me." He chuckled, as he finished blessing the man. Creil extended his hand to Lyconus, in the age old gesture of greeting, "Mine name, is creil Bevier, knight of the holy order. I'm honoured to meet a man of thy stature, it happens, not oft enough." He smiled

"I see, and my name is Lyconus." He felt a calmness about the man that was almost rare for him to feel from someone.

Creil smiled, "May god watch over thee, my son." Creil said to Lyconus, "These art times of trouble and unease, it would be wise to be cautios." He told his new friend. Creil beamed again, "And who art thou in complete truth brother? Art thou a knight of the church? Or a simple religious warrior? All are equal in the eyes of god, though i personally seek the former." He chuckled.

"Actually I am a lone warrior who fights for the right thing." Was his reply as he moved his legs a bit to get feeling in them.

Creil placed an armoured hand on Lyonus's shoulder, "Hast thou ever considered joining the ranks of the holy order, my brother?" He asked Lyconus, a profound respect growing for this man he had olny just met.

Lyconus now respected this man for his valor and nobleness. "I thank you good man but I do not think they would accept an immortal being such as myself."

"Immortal?" Creil asked, rasing a quizzical eyebrow? "Surely thou canst not mean thou art ageless, friend." He said, a note of curiosity in his voice.

"Aye that I am. It might not look it but I am 506 years old and in the form of a mere 17 year old." He was worried about how he would react.

Creil gave Lyconus a long hard stare, before laughing, "How interesting." He mused, "Our time on this earth is of no consequence, it is the events here which prepare our souls for the afterlife thatdoth carry the true import. I will go gratefully into the eternal silence, when wretched eld doth creep upon me, or the lord decided mine time is nigh." He said solidly, "though i wouldst not mind, however, a few more years to correct some wrongs, and some people." He said darkly.

He wondered whom the man spoke of. "I see, but yet immortality isn't something I would recommend for someone such as yourself, for you would lose your way with God."
