At that last question, she have a slight laugh. She had personally met him once before and her response was at first to wrinkled her nose.
“He’s rude, he’s harsh and he seems to think rather highly of himself.” She replied in truth. It was quite evident that she held no personal liking for the current ruler of the human city. “Not at all like you, come to think on it, I do not believe I have ever met a human as polite as yourself.” She reflected out loud.

"I am truly sorry to hear that such a man rules Rhyfaugh, though it is the same the world over - power doth corrupt the weak minded." He siad, his tone flat as he recalled the ruler of his home city. Creil placed that memory to one side, pushing it to the back of his mind. "Hast thou truly never met a man such as me?" He said, seeming slightly shocked. He paused in mock surprise then laughed out loud, "It is for the best, i do fear me. One Creil Bevier is more than the world canst take, dear lady." He chuckled. As they crested a hill after a few miles, the city came into sight. It was an unattractive place to say the least, and disrepair didnt even beging to describe the state of the main gate. Creil scoffed in disgust, "Suddenly, i doth not feel the need to venture into the city so soon." He joked, smiling at Ramona.

“Then join me for lunch, sir knight, we can speak further on the subject of the one of a kind Sir Creil.” She responded, no juesting in her tone. “And then, perhaps you will gain the strength to face the dreary city of the humans.” She continued, not yet replying to his other statements, waiting to see if he would truly decide to stay his arrival for a short time more.

Creil's face brightened and he reined his horse in, "Lunch, doth sound to mine ears to be the most prusent course of action, however, mine correct address wouldst be Sir Bevier" He corrected her, revealing his second name as he did so. Slowly he dismounted and led his gorse and Ramona's away from the road a short distance, to stop on a grassy hilltop, overlooking the rancid city. He moved about to the side of ramona's horse, offering his arm to help her dismount.

“Very well, Sir Bevier it is then.” She responded in the same quite, soft voice as always, her eys moving away form the city as he lead their horses to the hilltop, not too far away.
Ramona smile ddown at him now, as he offered his arm to help her down. She place dher hand on his and then let herself slide off, her feet mettign the ground with no sound and then she inclined her head and thank him for his kind guesturtere before turning to her pask on the back of the horse an dopened it, rummaged about for a few moments and came out with first, a blanket, this she handed to him, then turned back again and wlaked to the other side of her horse and removed an entire pack and carried it over, setting it on the ground next to a small rock that jetted out from the ground and waited for him to spread the blanket on the ground.
“I hope you don’t mind cheese, fruit and bread, for it is all I have.” She commented as she began to open the other pack.

Creil laughed, and moved over to the packs on his own big grey war horse. He withdrew several slices of salted meats, another slab of cheese, a corked bottle of fruit juice and a loaf of bread. He carried them over to where Ramona sat, and placed his food with hers, "Between us, a banquet." He smiled and chuckled to himself as he sat next to her, his armour creaking and clicking as he did so.

Ramona laughed as he brought his stash over to their little pick-nick and then inclined her head. “Awe yes, very nice, and a welcome addition, I might add.” She replied as he creaked and sat, she wondered just how uncomfortable that armor must be, though said nothing of the matter.
“Truly, you are one of a kind and I am pleased to know that such a rarety does indeed exist, though I know of a few men that might take a lesson or two from you, that is certain.” She commented on his exclamation as to her never before meeting any such the likes of him before, as she took a piece of cheese in her hand.

Creil watched her face as he sat, and laughed at her expression of distaste, "One doth forget one doth even wear it in time," He said referring to his armour, "I wouldst feel naked without it." He said, laughing as he cut a hefty slice from his block of cheese. Creil immdiately fell upon the food with a revenoud hunger, often found only in wild animals. He had not eaten properly for several days, not knowing how far he had left to travel, he had resolved to ration his food. After dealing with a troublesome strip of salted pork, he looked over at Ramona, "I wouldst gladly teach, but few are willing to learn." He said solemnly, "Thou wouldst do well to drop thy predjudices, my lady." He said, pausing long enough to take a chuck out of his loaf of bread, "They doth cloud thy vision. Thou wouldst surely see better men, wert thou to not brand them hopeless before thou wouldst even speak with them. I myself must confess to my share of predjudice, no man is without it, though as you can see, race is not of consequence for me."

Ramona ate quietly, letting his words soak in, though in her own heart, there was no more room for any, save one, and he was the one she hid from just now, not from any sort of fear, but as a game she often played to get him stirred up.
“Your words do hold a truth to them, however, it is often not I who does the branding, but the humans, I am most freely able to get along with any who is willing to listen. More often than not, it is the human who is ready to shoot an arrow at my back, than I would be to do the same.” She responded as she finished with a piece of pork as well.

Creil laughed, "Then i shalt deliver a lecture unto them - one by one." He laughed, "Man's ignorance shall forever be his definig feature - destroy what thou doth fear or misunderstand." He said, his tone flat. "Sadly, there is little hope to save the souls of my kindred, i can only hope to improve the quality of their lives, and save my own soul and those of my bretheren." He saidn swallowing a mouthful of fruit juice. He wasn't looking forward to meeting this 'Rit Megliaf' Fellow, and wanted to put it off for as long as possible.

Ramona gave a sort of half laugh. “Oh, trust me, it si not only the humans, I know my kind as well seems to hold pedagogic against the humans and other species, alas, I do fear it is an epidemic.” She replied, her tone darkening a bit, though still, she shook her head and smiled.
“I am their Queen, and as I hold such a sacredness to them, I am often more of a puppet at times, I feel, an icon for them to draw strength from, only that strength I fear, at times, boils into hatred, not that I blame many of them, as with myself, they have been treated in such a manner for so long, that it is hard to see past the hate.” She finished, leaning back now, her emerald eyes looking over at him as she finished speaking.

Creil nodded, and sighed, "It is simply the way of the world, my lady." He said, "Some few of us canst try to make a difference, and mayhap we will," He paused, "Though perhaps not." He finished, sighing loudly. With that, Creil finished the last of his meal, and lent back on his elbows, the long grass swaying abour him. He smiled, visibly happier, "A meal fit for a king," He laughed, winking slyly at Ramona, as he absently shifted in his armour, finding a comfortable spot.

Ramona smiled back at the Paladin. “Or a Queen.” She responded as she leaned back further, now laying her head on the soft cool grass that surrounded then like a sea of green, its ripples moving in such a manner as to make the entire hill look like it was living.
“I think…” She started before turning her gaze to the clouds over head. “That I am certainly glad I have found this opportunity to talk with you Sir Bevier. It seems that we two have a very lot in common, and I do hope that circumstances will provide us more opportunity in the future as well to simply sit, and converse.” She said in her usual quite and soft tone.

Creil smiled at her, beaming for all he was worth, "Indeed, my lady, it seems so to me also, and i too hope for the opportunity for simple conversation to present itself oft unto us." He sighed, "Though that i do doubt. Thou shalt return to thy kindom below the earth, and I shall be unwelcome there, as the predjudices of which we have spoken cloud the minds of men and drow alike." He said, his smile fading into a bleak expression.

“Oh, I am certain we will find a time at a later date to converse again, as I oft times find myself wandering these hills, perhaps more often than I most assuredly should, but nonetheless, I will be here.” She replied to his less than optimistic reply to her hopeful suggestion of another talk.
She was quite for a moment before she spoke again, her gaze moving from the clouded sky to look upon the knight once more. “I should like to give you something that would allow you to seek me out in my own domain, should the occasion arrive that you might find my aid needed in any way.” She started and then paused to regard him. “Not that I think you couldn’t handle what ever might come your way in that foul city you intend to grace with your presence, but if you should need me…” She lifter her hand and then took a small silver band with some etchings, much the same as the painted marking about her body, upon it and held it out to him. “Take this, and if you desire my aid, come tot eh Drow Kingdome and resent this to whom ever might impede your way, they will know to take you to my castle.” She finished, her emerald gaze steady upon his blue orbs.
She knew he would not like what he found in that city, and she knew also Rit would be furious if he knew the knight had made contact with her in any way and she just now wondered, how he would come to feel once Sir Bevier made himself known to his Majesty. These thoughts nearly brought a joyous grin to the Queen’s lips, nearly.
