History of Adunasir
The Chronicles of Adunasir are charted back a thousand years. To the end of the Great War of the Shaping. Great armies and terrible magics scarred the lush landscapes of Adunasir, forging it into the landscape it is today. In the Great War, great magics were unleashed that shattered and poisoned lands, ripping apart the very earth itself. The massive wasteland to the south is one such example. It is Severin the Onceland. Once the verdant homeland of the now extinct orcs. A mighty sorcerer known only as Sheol summoned a prodigious blast of energy from the eight crystal towers of Galthran and decimated the entire area. Yet, the war was not over. A faction of elves binded their souls with dragons in order to become intensely strong beings and fight back humanity’s continued advance. They failed, and were banished to a separate plane by their High Elf cousins. Still, another faction of elves fled underground and have since undergone a harsh evolution under their new spider goddess.
A thousand years later, the world is plunged into war yet again, the dark elves of the spider goddess seek to take back the surface that was once theirs. The steely might of humanity combined with the battle magics of the high elves drove them back into their dark underground fortresses to stew for another fifty years until they seek to rule the world yet again.
Thus, the world is left in a state of awkward and cautious peace. Commerce is re-established and the world goes about as if no war had been fought at all.
This is the world of Adunasir.
