Name: Rowan Prestale
Date Of Birth and/or Age: 26
Appearance:
Deep blue eyes and sun-blond hair are the features that most notice right away, yet upon closer examination, one can see that Rowan's air of nonchalance comes from the combination of his other features. His pale lips and arching dark brows provide an unnatural and rather ‘curious’ look upon his face, and his white skin creates a rather faded appearance. If it were not for his sparkling eyes, one may easily dismiss this young wizard as just another rambunctious youth instead of a man deeply entranced with power.
The must curious of his features are though, his hands. Long fingers of a musician or artist he has, full of poise and control. They are also the only window someone (a typically unobservant person) has to his emotions, and it is a foggy window at that. Whence excited or nervous, Rowan's fingers may start tapping erratically, but of course, he controls his feelings most of the time, hiding them from prying eyes.
When he walks, it is not with the evident swagger of slump that portrays many others, rather, his movement is fluid and his limbs move as a whole. He is sure-footed and is ever-aware of his center of balance. It is the cat-walk of an aristocrat. Rowan stands at five foot ten and weighs roughly 170 pounds.
Family: Rowan is an only child, born to parents Arlendae and Desemona Prestale
Personality:
His eyes, blue like a sparkling lake,- are colored appropriately for his personality. Like the rumbling waters, Rowan is quick to change. One moment, he may be carefree as the birds, the next, as cold as ice. Every move another makes, he scrutinizes, analyzing his/her character and storing that information for later use. In his opinion, blackmail is a perfectly ethical method of persuasion, and the use of false-flattery and false information to gain temporary allies are the ideal weapons. However, he would only use these weapons against another if indeed the other had rendered him some hurt of some kind. Rowan is also somewhat of a cynic, yet it is he who cannot be trusted. If the situation is beneficial to him, he will go through with it, yet if the situation changes, he is very much likely to go back upon his word.
Likes: Power, respect, knowledge
Dislikes: Hypocrites, fools, mediocre followers
History:The Prestales, as a family, leave much to be desired. Rowan's life was one measured by duty, tradition, and ambition. He did not love his parents, for though they provided him with all the money he could want, they had never shown affection for the boy. They would constantly criticize him for his every action, driving him to the brink of insanity in their words. What they desired was perfection, and Rowan, as he kept making mistakes, became reclusive and cursed himself bitterly at not acheiving such.
As soon as he came of age, Rowan was sent to be an apprentice of a local wizard, and having turned workaholic in the field, earned his rights to magic. Normally, he travels under the guise of a healer, attempting to earn his lifehood by helping peoples and accepting their gifts. From his travels though, he has learned much about the different peoples of the world, and gathered much knowledge as well as increased his own skills by working with other wizards. His ambition is to become the Arch Mage of the Elven Lands, and thus constantly pursues knowledge. Rowan desires the forbidden arts of the Dark Elves, for he recognizes the possiblities that could be open towards anyone with the duel lores.
