Asheira walked into the tavern, her feet stepping lightly as she went. If her Lord ever found out she had been here, or had possession of money to begin with, there was no telling what he’d do, but, she longed for the life of a free person and she had found a few coins over her time here, found yes, not stolen, she had never been a thief and never would she be, and had saved them up until she figured she’d have enough for a couple drinks.
She walked in further now and after ordering a drink at the bar and paying for it, she walked to the furthest table she could find from the public and sat, her hand wrapped about her ale as if it were the finest possession she could have possibly obtained and then raised it to her lips and drank deeply from its contents before setting it down with a soft, clink, and a smile.
If old Rit ever knew… She thought her eyes looking about nervously, as she took yet another drink form her tankard before once again setting it down on the rough surface of the wooden table.
Soon, she had ordered and drank two tankards and was feeling the effects and so relaxed, leaning her chair against he wall and propping her feet up on the table with her now third and final tankard in hand, not really doing much other than watching the people come in and go out, some leaving with the local wh0res, to the back rooms, others sitting in idle chat with whom ever it was they desired to speak with. Not a care in the world for Asheira just now, nothing at all, as a matter of fact, she was so relaxed, she had forgotten it was indeed her turn to serve his majesty his dinner this night, and that was an hour ago.

"Two of you wait outside," Rit's booming voice could be heared even before he entered the tavern. "The other two come on in." Rit entered the tavern and took a seat at the first table he could find. He came to this tavern often to drown the annoyance of being a Lord in liquor. This night had been well at the begining with the arival of a knew knight to his service however later something startling came up. His personal slave girl, who was supposed to serve him dinner that night, had gone missing. He had been served his meal anyways but the absence of his slave unnerved him.
He had enslaved Asheira when she was just a child during a rade of the city she once lived in. From the begining she had shown two things: a pure dislike of Rit and a usefulness at times. He used her most often for menial tasks and to find stuff out. For the latter she many times did this unknowingly.
Her absence could be a cause of one of two things. The first was that she was dissobediant again but this time worse than all the rest in which case her punishment would be extreme. The second was if she died and if that so then Rit actually felt kind of sad.
"What would you like to drink." The barmaid asked in her usual tone. She never really looked at her guests and in such never knew who they were.
"The strongest thing you have in your stores." Rit said allready half drunken by the mere thought of it.

Asheira remained at her table, the third tankard near finished in her grasp. It may not have seemed like a lot of alcohol, but for one who’d never actually drank before, the strong ale of this place was really quite a lot for this young 19 year old slave girl.
She hadn’t noticed Rit arrive, she should have noticed his bellow as soon as it hit her ears, but she didn’t, she hadn’t even put a thought to the fact that he’d more than likely show up here, or, at least as soon as she had began to get drunk, it slipped her mind. Her intentions had been to have a drink and get out, but she was enjoying herself far too much and didn’t quit when she should have, and thus, stayed on, now drunk, she was unaware.
She looked about the tavern, her eyes sweeping the patrons again, as the newest addition entered, she narrowed her eyes, trying to focus on him and she laughed out loud.
“Wow, he looks juss li’ Rit.” She said out loud. “Juss’ about’” She laughed again then let her eyes continue on.

The drunken voice of his personal slave girl came to Rit's ears and at first he didn't believe it. But his eyes followed his ears and sure enough Asheira sat at a table. This was beyond what he thought she was capable of. She would be punished beyond anything ever before.
Standing straight up he nearly knocked over the table and walked straight to where the drunk girl was. Without saying a word he took a very tight grip of the girl's wrist and dragged her out of the tavern ignoring the looks for the others sitting in there. Dragging her for a while he finally turned down a small but dark alley.
He tossed his servant forward as his guards came down the alley as well. "Leave," he ordered them and they did. "What were you doing in the tavern?" He demanded an answer in the harshest voices he could muster. First he would calm his curiosity and then he would beat.

Asheira’s drunken gaze caught a glimpse of something moving towards her before she noticed her arm being ripped from her side. Truly, in her drunken mind, it must have been ripped off already and then, she looked at who had grasped her as she was dragged, half walking, half dragging along behind this man who seemed to look like her Lord.
Before she knew it, she was pushed from behind and sent sprawling on the filthy cobblestones beneath her. And though she did indeed manage to regain her feet and turn upon her attacker, she was swaying in her drunkenness, trying to come up with a suitable answer to who she knew now to be who she had thought.
“It wa’ my own money and I thought I desv…d it” She stated almost clearly. “An’ I wa’ drining, what does it look like to you.” She growled at him, her temper growing fast, the buzz of the alcohol beginning to clear in her mind, faster than she would like as her adrenaline began to kick in, and in her drunken state, make her angry enough to stand up to her Lord and Master.”

He felt his anger come to a boil and his fists clenched tightly together. She would really get it now. If he was back at the mansion he would have a variety of things to do to her but in this alley he was limited to his fists and a small knife.
Without second though he rushed forward and caught his drunk servant hard in the gut with his large fist. If she passed out he would take her back to the mansion to punish but if she was still conscious after that he would have his fun here.

Three fully armoured men stepped out of the shadows, all carrying masive two handed broadswords, and their armour bore the insignia of the paladin order. All of the paladins had their visors down, though their weapons were sheathed. The man stood inbetween the other two was huge, built like one side of a mountain, and the size of one two. He stepped forward to stand next to Rit, "I trust thou dost have a good explanation for thine conduct?" He asked, his tone menacing. "The knights of the church look not kindly upon the beating of women." He said, as the other two stepped forward. One of the other armoured men spoke, "Onw shout for your guards my lord, and all sorts of things could go wrong. Do we understand each other?" He said, his tone as menacing as the first, huge knight.

"The church has no power in this city if you have read the bulletin." Rit turned his attention directly toward the knights. He did not feared them one bit even though he himself was unarmed. He had killed many of their sort in battles of past. This was all a big distraction, he hadn't even checked what his punch did to his slave yet. "This is my personal servant and she has committed acts that deserve the punish she is receiving." A crooked smirk rose on Rit's face as he cracked his fingers. "Anyways, if you some how did kill me then you would be committing treason which is punishable by death!"

As his hand connected to her abdomen, she stumbled back a few paces and then fell to her knees, one arm wrapped aver her stomach, the other firmly planted on the ground to hold herself up. Asheira lifted one leg, the other knee still o the ground and rested her head slightly on her trembling knee.
She heard a few voices but didn’t even think a thing o fit, at first, but then a glint of armor caught her eye and she looked up slowly and narrowed her eyes, trying to focus better, between wanting to pass out and being still quite drunk, this was a task indeed.
“Leave im alone.” She said it so quiet, her voice would have been very hard to hear.
Asheira hated Rit, it was true, and yes, he had just hit her for having a bit of fun, but all the same, he had always been with her, he was the one who had plucked her from that burning house when his armies had attacked. Yes, the only reason he had done so, was to later enslave her, but all the same, if it wasn’t for him, she would be dead. Ironically, she felt a sort of slap in the face when, even if it meant her continued beating, Rit was talked down to by any but herself. In short, this was between herself and her Lord and she hadn’t invited any help.

Creil smirked beneath his visor, "The knights of the church need not thy political authority, our authority stands with th people, and with our swords." He replied, his tone unreadable. He turned to look at the slave girl, slumped on the floor, "I doth not approve of the practice of slavery, my lord - however, i am powerless to stop it. Neither I, not mine comrades will strike an unarmed man. We did not come here to kill thee, my lord, we simply happened upon what seemed to be a man, beating his wife. As we drew closer, however, we saw the deprived practice of slavery playing out before our very eyes." He paused as he heard Asheira speak, "Though truly even she refuses help." He turned to his companions and muttered something under his breath. They immediately snapped to attention, saying "Yes Brother confessor." and dissapeared into the darkness, returning moments later with their fully armoured ar horses. Creil mounted his horse to join his bretheren, then turned to Rit, "A word of advice my lord, think thyself not invincible nor incorrigible - the knights of the church are more powerful than thou wouldst care to think, even in thy depraved city." He said, his tone flat as the three turned and left, their horses hooves clicking lodly on the pavement.

"Why you," he said coldly behind clenched teeth at the Paladin's last words. He would strike this man down with everything he had at his dissposal. This man would not be allowed to get away with the arrogance that he was showing. He would tare away at everything this man had bit my bit untill he was nothing.
He waited untill the man had rode away and then turned back to his servant. If any other man would have interupted this he would have immediatly gone back to punishing her right after he left. However this was no longer the time nor the place to worry about such trivial things as punishing one's slave. "Pick youself up girl." He said in a voice not as harsh as earlier.
And with that he walked out of the alley way and back towards his house. He would show this man hell.

Asheira said not a word, but slowly stood, her movements greatly diminished by the fact that both knees had sustained gashes in them from the cobblestone ground and, maybe a cracked rib from the blow she had received from Rrit, but, with gritted teeth and a hiss she stood, as ordered an followed Rit from the ally.
She walked behind him in silence for several moments, the entire ordeal with the Knights and the anger she saw in Rit towards that man all streaming through her now forced sober brain. There was something between those two, that Knight and her Lord, something more than just this incident.
“Paladins are such a silly, stuffed up group of slobbering God worshipers.” She commented, her arm still wrapped about her abdomen and then winced after she spoke.

Rit just glanced back at his servant, anger engulfing his face. "If you wish to ever move again then hold your tongue."He didn't need his servant disturbing him at a time like this. He had been thinking, planning out his next moves. He would not let this man get away no matter what.

Asheira glared at the back of his head and then stopped her forward movement. “Oh, very well, perhaps next time, I will hold my tongue, you don’t even realize that the only reason he left you alone was because I told him to.” She stated, her tone more than a bit angry. “That man did not run from you, he left because he is a man of great honor, and was not about to go against what I desired.” She hissed, not caring too much as to what Rit’s reaction would be, she was angry still

Rit twisted quickly and slammed an open hand across Asheira's face. It was more of a palm than a slap. A slap leaves you with a sting on your cheek and a palm sends you halfway across a room with a few bruises and a possible concussion.
He looked forward again and continued walking. He didn't care if she was out cold or not. If she was and didn't show up again by the morning then he would send a team out to find her. "He might have honor but his attentions are the same as everyone else on earth." He spoke even though nobody might be listening. "He wants power, one that he is finding hard to obtain in this city while I rule it."
