Kathelos was seated at a seat in the far back of the inn, as was his general custom. He generally preffered to not draw attention to himself when among his own people, preferring the loud and outspoken humans to be much easier to aquire wealth from.
Even as such, there were his people, so he might as well spend a bit of time with them, getting rid of a bit of spare change he had accumulated living around humans on a few good meals.

The doors to the bar were opened firmly but quietly to allow entrance to a young woman. She tied her waist-length, aqua hair into a ponytail as she walked, moving with silent stealth. A light passed over her body, four midnight blue jewels glittering: two diamonds set in earrings, a smaller diamond set in her delicate nose, and a fourth framed by her slim, pale stomach.
Surreal tried to sit comfortably with all her weapons on, but ended up having to lay out her bow next to her. The two swords at her sides and knife strapped to the outside of her leg were left in place. When she realized her miniskirt was completely messed up, she sighed, got up, and swept the tight black material under her perfectly. She looked up at the bartender, seeing his eyes linger on her chest just below her gold 'huntress' pendant and above the low-cut of her midriff. "Shirley temple with vodka please," she made her strange request, then turned and scanned the bar. Only one person caught her eye, the one trying hard not to be seen. Surreal turned back, picked up her bow with one hand, picked up her drink with the other, murmuring a polite "Thank-you," as she got up and walked over to the stranger.
"Why are you trying so hard not to be seen?" Surreal asked, one eyebrow raised in question as she stood with drink and bow in hand.

Looking quickly over the new arrival, concluding there was nothing he would attempt risking his life over so that he could 'aquire' new weapons or wealth. Besides, simple warriors rarely had much money on them.
"Who's trying not to be seen? I'm just sitting in my normal spot hanging around for a bit. Is there some problem with that?"

Opening for the third time in the last five minutes, the doors to the Inn provided entrance for a noticeably thin female as she gracefully swept her long midnight cloak through the doorway and proceeded on towards the bar. Bare feet could be seen at intervals when her cloak and silver gown swung aside to show them so, and so pale as they were it was clear to see this woman was an elf.
Her sapphire eyes were shadowed with lilac as she glanced around the bar from under her hood, stopping to seat herself on a stool by the bar top. Locks of fair hair poured down either side of her cleavage from under her hood neatly, shining with smooth edges in the dim light of the Inn.
Jaeli cast a swift and distant smile to the bartender as she ordered a cabaret martini. Then she placed her elbow on the bar top and rested her head on her hand as she waited for her drink, stealing a sideways glance at the couple over in the corner.

Surreal raised an eyebrow, a wry smile twitching on the edge of her lips. "Ah, so you are in your 'regular' spot, which just happens to be quite hidden. If you sit here often it means you either like to be secluded, or you have something to hide."
Surreal pushed her bangs out of her eyes. "Listen, I'm getting tired just standing here. Can I sit or would you rather your spot not be tainted by one carrying so many weapons and thus drawing attention?"

"Hey! I didn't steal anything, I simply found it and didn't know who the owner was! They dropped it! It was a gift to me! They were letting me hold it!" he sputtered out quickly, realizing only after he had regained some control what a blunder he had just made in his speech.
"Erm.....have a seat, if you wish," he said quickly, hoping she had not been litening fully.

Surreal sat down with a grin, setting her glass on the table. "You needn't worry, I'm no snitch." Besides, she excused herself, If you were the one stealing and a stranger forced themselves into your presence, the least they could do is be nice.
Surreal smiled brightly at Kalathos and held out a hand over the table. "Surreal SaDiablo," she introduced herself. "Would you like a drink?"

"Of course I would," he said cheerfully, although still slightly skeptical about her honesty, never could be to certain when you lived to steal things.
"And if you are also getting something then I'll be more than happy to buy for the both of us." he said, smiling at her, his expression matching the was he spoke.

Surreal dropped the offered hand, undaunted, but wishing that he had given his name. "I asked, I buy," she grinned at him and settled the bow against her leg and on top of her foot so she could kick it up if need be. She then raised a hand, smiling sweetly at the barlass who gave a strange look at her bow.
"I have already been tended to, but my friend here needs a drink," Surreal nodded at the original table-sitter.

"Any decent sort of wine you might have will suit me fine," he said quickly, although pondering on it a bit more, he found it quite rude of him not to properly introduce himself, even to one who had so generously provided him with her own name irst.
"The names Kalathos," he said, nodding towards her, "And I must thank you, Surreal, for your generous offer. Seems all to rare to see one person buying drinks for another"

Surreal raised an eyebrow, giving Kalathos a sort of 'whatever' glance. "Where I'm from, if you're mean enough to disturb someone, then you must be nice enough to offer compensation, especially when in a bar."
Surreal smiled and paid for the wine when the barlass, who was still watching her bow, brought it. She then took a si[ of her own daquiri, setting it down softly on the table. "You know, you have a fine taste in alcohols for someone who steals for a living. Thieves usually drink brandy....if my memory serves me that is. Perhaps my wits have gone begging, and I am speaking nonsense."

"Ill drink to that rule of yours, compensation in the form of alcohol is the best kind there is." he said, laughin heartily as he poured himself a glass of wine, sipping it briefly before he adressed the other part of what she had said, not liking it much at all.
"You seek to offend me, do you? Referring to me as a theif? With absolutely no justification behind this other than I prefer my privacy?" he replied hotly, as anyone would who had just been falsly accused.

Surreal raised both eyebrows at Kalathos. "Seak to offend you? Tell me, Kalathos, how many times have you 'found' things and kept them. Because you seemed quite desperate to say that earlier on...that you had merely found something and kept it? Someone might have seen that as a cover up for the job of 'finding' things to keep. Someone like me."

Jaeli received her drink fairly fast after ordering it, and with a simplistic smile to the bartender, she wrapped her lithe fingers around it and rose from the stool, swishing her silver cloak over one side of it so she could walk away.
She then made her way over to the other two at the table nearby, and considering them for a moment through sapphire-lilac eyes, she asked, "Good evening, could I perhaps join you?". Then she was silent, feeling as though she'd interrupted something quite heated by the looks on their faces.
"Or perhaps not, sorry.." She uttered quietly afterwards, blushing softly, as she picked up the corner of her silver cloak to turn back to the stool.

Surreal smiled at the young woman, but she didn't seem to notice and she turned away. "No, wait. Please," she waved to a seat, "join us." She looked back at Kalathos and gave him a 'we'll continue the discussion later,' look.
"I'm Surreal SaDiablo." Surreal pulled her hair out of her face, letting it fall to her waist. "That's Kalathos. And, trust me, you weren't interrupting anything important."
