"You miss it, your... previous life," Eidlin said softly. She let the phrase hang, not really a question or a statement. She saw deep into the abyss that his dark eyes unfolded. "A warrior's life is a hard one," she whispered again, "Sometimes a reprieve is necessary. Perhaps this life, here and now, is your's."

He thought on what she just said. "Aye. I do miss it, as I may never get to see my son again. And perhaps in this land and time I can have a better life.."

"my son again"
Alassea pulled herself back from her not so distant memories at Lyconus' word. She had once been lost and frightened, in a dark and haunting forest. A man of the night had stood before her. His eyes the only visable thing she could see. Looking across the table her eyes locked onto Lyconus.
"A son?" she quired, "He must not be more than four for I remember no child!"

He looked at her confusedly. "What do you mean?" He was starting to remember her from somewhere but he couldn't place it.

"oh, nothing I must be thinking of another," Alassea said turning her head to stear at a wall. Her azure eyes seeing the wall in more detail.

Eidlin looked at Alassea and Lyconus with her intelligent eyes noting both the elf's and his responses. There was some underlying story to this tale, although she wasn't about to ask for it.
Ordering some drinks for all that were present from a passing waiter, she turned her attention back to her almost mute companions. She herself was still digesting Lyconus' tale and was not about to contemplate anything beyond that. Wondering how to brake the silence, she found that she had nothing worthy to say and resolved to drinking her own hot tea in further silence.

Alassea felt the uncomfortable silences surround the table slowly from her small bag she brought out a curl of wolf fur slowly she passed it to lyconus.
"I was lost once as a young woman no more than 16. Lost in the woods of an unknown land. Never had i felt so scared and alone. A shadow, both man and wolf saved me and sheltered me." Alassea said this a little uneasy.
"forgive me maybe i think of another that was like yourself"

Lyconus looked at her, she seemed so familiar and yet not so familiar. It was like something was fogging his mind. "I am sorry... but I am unable to remember this.." He said a little uneasy and then looked at everyone else. "Feel free to ask me anything."

Eidlin thought hard on what he had told them, about his past life. It seemed a difficult one, one so very different from the lives of everyone that sat around their table.
"Is there any way to get your son back to you? I mean, is there a way to get you back to him or to bring him here, to... to our time?" she asked her friend with concern. It was not easy for her to comprehend his life or how it happened. Magic was fairly new to her but she thought that perhaps there was a way to use it to help Lyconus.

Nodding, she decided it was time to change the subject.
"What is life like in the future, Lyconus. I mean, is it any different from what we have here?" Eidlin asked, hoping that this would not bring about any more painful memories for him.
