Eidlin quietly made her way up to the sun bathed temple. The white marble seemed to shine in the light and the affects were blinding. The girl made her way up the stairs that lead to the entrance of the marble structure.
Upon reaching the summit, the brown haired girl quietly hurried ovetr to a pillar on her right that was hidden in shadow. From there she could see the statues of the Sun and Moon to whom her mother prayed to numerous times. Eidlin remembered how her mother wanted to bring her to that spot, how she yearned to show her daughter the sanctuary which she loved so much.
'Well I'm here mother,' she thought looking around once more. Seeing that the temple was void of life, she left her hiding place and quietly walked out into the center of the room. Turning she looked at the beautiful artwork that adorned the columns, floor, and statues around her. One in particular caught her eye.
Eidlin's footsteps echoed through the hall as she made her way to a small etching on the surface of a wall a little to the left of the statue of Luna. It desplayed elves praying to the moon at night with a pearly glow radiating from the white orb.
Eidlin smiled at it, for she found her mother doing that often once she got sick. She had prayed for health that never came. Still, Eidlin never blaimed her mother's gods for losing her; she never found the heart to put the blaim on anyone. She turned to look at her mother's favorite place again. It was as peaceful and beautiful as girl had imagioned it to be. Sighing she leaned against a pillar to take it all in as the sun glittered through the gaps in the temple's columns.

'Memory All alone in the moon light...' Cellina stopped singing as she spotted a familiar face, leaning agaist a coluom. She smiled and walked over. "Good evening."

Eidlin turned as a familiar voice broke through her thoughts.
"Cellina," she said bowing her head in greeting as she made her way over to the elf. "What a surprise to find you here, however it is a pleasant one."
Eidlin was still a little lost in thought and thus didn't exactly now what to say to the woman before her. Thus she just stood there, smiling her customary friendly smile, hoping that her presence at the shrine was not disturbing the high elf's.

"Cellina," she said bowing her head in greeting as she made her way over to the elf. "What a surprise to find you here, however it is a pleasant one."
"Why thank you. The same goes to you, I'm sure." she nodded. "I'm just here to offer a sacrifice to the gods, but I'm done. What, may I ask, and if you mind telling me, are you doing here?" she smiled kindly and leaned against the wall next to her.

Eidlin didn't know how she could answer. After all, she meant to dissrespect to Cellina by admiring the shrine when she didn't support that religion. She loved the legends, and she respected the elves' beliefs, of course. It was just that, being raised as a human, it was their religion that she choose to uphold.
"I came here because it was my mother's favorite place when she lived here. This place, therefore, was everpresent in her stories. I came to see what she meant, what she spoke of," Eidlin trailed off. "Perhaps I should leave. I meant no disrespect, Cellina, and forgive me if I have offended you with my presence here in any way." Hurridly, Rezna bowed and hurried towards the stairs. She knew that the elves didn't want humans near their place of worship and she understood their reasons. She knew that Celline spoke to her kindly, but that did not mean that Eidlin did not offend her.

Cellina figured that she was feeling offensive towards her. She smiled and walked towards her friend.
"Don't worry..." she looked around and then whispered. "I do the things they tell me, but i don't believe this stuff..." she smiled and stood back. "What do you want to do, while we're here?" She looked out over the village.

Eidlin let out a sigh with relief and turned to face her friend. She smiled when she heard what Cellina said, about not believing. That made her feel better, for then she couldn't have offened the elf.
"What is there to do here?" Eidlin asked. "I only just arrived and don't know much about the place."

"What is there to do here?" Eidlin asked. "I only just arrived and don't know much about the place."
"Ha... that's the thing. Not A LOT!" she turned to her, "But we can find something to do..." she smiled wickedly and grabbed a steel sheild from one of the statues. She set it at the top of the stairs and stood on it.
"Could you give me a push?"

Eidlin was taken aback by the other's actions. This was something she had not expected, but did not object to either.
'Still, a little fun never hurt anyone, badly,' Eidlin thought with a grin.
Coming over to Cellina, she felt like a little kid as she pushed her down the stairs. It had been years since she had broken any such unspoken rules, and what was more, it had been too long since she had any fun.
Looking at her friend at the bottom of the stairs she smiled and called out, "How was the trip? I hope not too bumpy!"

Cellina laugh and landed at the bottom, jumping off in time for the sheild to run into a wall and clang. "Not bad at all! If you have balance!" she smiled.

Eidlin looked around, wondering if the racket they made did not bother anyone. Seeing no one coming, a mischievous grin spread across her face and she hurried down to Cellina.
"Can I have a try?" she asked, reaching for the shield.

"Can I have a try?" she asked, reaching for the shield.
Cellina smiled, "Sure, why not!" she began to walk back up the stairs. "I'm guessing you want a push?" she gave the same mischevious grin back.

She only smiled in reply, as she placed the shield on the ground and positioned herself on top of it. Spreading her feet apart, she hoped she'd be able to keep her balance on her way down.
"All right, I'm ready," she said while laughing, for she remembered her last balancing act. She fell over in the lake as she chased her horse. "I can't promise any grace, although I usually have some of it."

Eidlin felt her self flying forward, the ground shaking madly beneath her. Waving her arms like mad she fought to stay balanced. Halfway down the stairs, however, she leaned back to fast, and fell onto the edge of the shield. Sliding down the rest of the way sitting, Eidlin barely managed to escape a collision with the wall by flinging herself to the side as the shield continued straight.
This crash also echoed off the walls, but Eidlin was laughing too hard to care. "That was... wonderful!" she cried out to her friend. "I haven't had this much fun in years." Picking herself and the shield up, she walked up the stairs again. "I only wish they made the shields a little bit softer, padded maybe."
