Meiso laughed. "Me, a story? Never. Like I said, I'm just a petty theif. Been nowhere, seen nothing, have nowher to go, have nothing to see. You can go ahead, lord." He smirked at Eidlin and Lyconus.

Meiso laughed. "I'm just messing with you, don't get your pants twisted into a knot." He smirked again.

Eidlin smirked back at Meiso as he jocked around Lyconus' apparent sore spot. "Well, I have never found a person to dislike being called by such a title. To make me stop, I'm afraid, you'll have to prove to me you aren't one then. I mean, as Meiso has so kindly repeated, he's a petty thief and thus I call him by his name only. You, on the other hand, have never really told us who you are. You can do magic and seem to wield a sword with ease; those great feats have brought you to be a lord in my eyes. I'm sorry if I've offended you great sir," Eidlin bit her lip to stop herself from laughing. Her eyes caught those of Meiso, and she hoped he heard the joke. However, she felt that he was the only one to do so, apart from her.
When she composed herself she continued, this time more seriously, "Please, forgive me, I couldn't resist. If you don't want to tell your story, then you don't have to. I mean, it's your private life and neither of us can force you to do anything with it that you don't want to do." She felt that Lyconus was very hard at jokes, as Meiso was easy going around them. She hated to think that they had offended the solemn man before them.
She reached out and was about to touch his arm yet decided against it in mid reach. Hastily she dropped hers to the ground. "I'm sorry," she replied instead, "it seems we've caused you unease. Forgive me for the joke. It seems it was at your expense."

Meiso laughed as he heard the joke. Finally he smiled at Lyconus. "Ment no offence, that's just what I do."

"No it is alright, its just I do not feel as though I have no right to be called a lord." He smiled and shrugged his shoulders to let them know he was ok with their antics. "Now...the time that I was in before I came to this one. I also think that I may have come to an alternate dimension of my world." He added as an afterthought while trying to think on his past life.

Eidlin was glad to hear that their jokes hadn't upset him. But as he spoke of alternate dementions and the future, she began to fear him a little. 'How powerful did you have to be to travel through time, and how old?' she wondered.
"Lyconus," she asked in a whisper, "what time are you from? How, no, why did you come here?" It was only after she spoke that she noticed that she had interrupted him and his tale. But if she apologizing would only interupt him again, she figured.

"Heh...I came here by way of magic when an old friend's apprentice was messing with an art of magic she ought not to have been messing with."

"And..." Eidlin probed. She knew that she shouldn't, it was his story, his life, his choice on whether to tell them or not. Yet she was really interested.

Lyconus laughed at her pushyness. "I came here, but what you want to know is of my past correct?" He asked as he started to think more.

"Yes, but I'm not after it, as Meiso put it, I just find it very intriguing," Eidlin replied a little crossly. "I've never heard of time travel or magic before. You don't have to say anything you don't want to."

Lyconus grinned as well. "Well, it all started during somewhere in 1799 when I was just a normal 17 year old boy."

(ooc: Lyconus, if you're going to type out the whole story, you should just do it all at once. We can't really keep urging you on after every two sentences. ;D No offense!)
Eidlin looked at him. She knew that different places had different calendars. In her father's village, they only had sixty days in a year. Thirty days for each the fertile season and the drought season. As she traveled North, she noticed that people had more seasons and fewer years in their historical counts.
'Where is this place he speaks of?' she wondered.
