Eidlin pushed open the double doors of the tavern and quickly hurried inside. The night was cold and she welcomed the warmth of the bar even if it meant that she would have to put up with its horrid smell. Indeed, drunk men were usually the most vile smelling animals around.
As her eyes adjusted to the light of the room, she quietly made her way from the doorway to the empty tables along the left wall of the building. One such table in the far corner of the room caught her eye. Quietly the girl made her way towards it and sat down on the bench. Taking off her cloak, she was happy to find that she was warm enough in the blue dress she wore underneath. Looking up, she scanned the room before her for someone who could take her order. It was then that she noticed yet another newcomer in the tavern.

Cellina had been in the tavren before, but not for a drink. She had cleaned up a BAR FIGHT not to long ago. She walked into the tavren and looked around. No one seemed to be having much trouble with a fight tonight. She smiled and ordered a weak wine, and drank a bit, sitting at the bar.
The man sitting next to her, smelt awful and he kept looking at her, "Can i help you sir?" she asked, annoyed, after a bit.
He turned to her and leaned forewards to whisper in her ear and hand her a bag of gold. "Let's s-say we head out and have fun?" he staggered a bit. Callina smirked. She was ready to make this man run.
"Oh yeah? What sort of fun?" she questioned. She saw a girl watching her and she gave her the one moment sign. She took the gold and tied it to her belt.
"Just... fun..." he hiccuped. Callina stood back and shook her head. She pointed her finger at him and then slowly pointed up, he began to rise.
"Sorry sir, not today..." she motioned her hand to throw him across the room. He flew to the other side of the room and hit the wall. He groaned and fell over.
Callina walked up to the girl. "Hello, I'm Cellina, high-elf but good-hearted." she held out a hand.

Eidlin gasped a little as she watched the stranger levitate a man and send him flying across the room. She had seen magic and experienced it, but this was something she had yet to get accostomed to.
Looking at the girl befor her, she reached out and shook her hand. "A pleasure. My name is Eildin, Eidlin Isilramel. Please have a seat," she replied with a friendly smile. She looked at the girl intently, for she, like so many of the other hight elves Eidlin had met, looked so much like her mother.
Eidlin fought off her memories and looked at Cellina. "You seem to be able to take care of yourself, but having been to the elven realm, I know that this could never compare. So what brings an elf into the human city?"

Cellina smiled and sat down. "Eildin... That's a nice name. Thank you."
"You seem to be able to take care of yourself, but having been to the elven realm, I know that this could never compare. So what brings an elf into the human city?"
Cellina smiled, "Yes, I can take care of myself..." she looked at the man, still koncked out by the door, "I just don't like how high-elves are always so snooty and goodie-two-shoes above everybody else and things like that..." she looked at the girl. "Humans, Drow, Half-elves, and any other race, but my own, don't bug me at all. In fact, i'm friends with two humans, a drow, and now... two half-elves, Eidlin." she smiled, "You seemed surprised when i used magic. Are you not accostom to it, Warrior?"

"I have seen little of magic on my travels, it is mainly here, in this city that I have encountered the use of it. To tell you the truth, lady Cellina, I was raised in a very secluded village out in a bare land where one traveler a year was a specialty. The only races I've encountered are that of human and elf. In fact, my mother was the only elf I ever saw for years, until, yet again, I came here." Eidlin waved over a waiter and ordered some dry red wine. As she walked away, the girl turned back to her companion.
"Forgive the interruption. So I take it you are trained in the ways of magic. I saw what you did, and I believe that it must take a lot of strength to do that. Besides, you seem very intelligent. Not many people, or elves besides, would be able to tell that I'm half elven, or that I'm a warrior for that matter. I know that I don't look well enough for either one," Eidlin finished with an apprasing look at the elf before her.

"I see... well i was guessing that your mother was the elf..." she nodded, "With all do respect, it's the human men that go after the high-elves..."

"Yes, I was trained from a young age to just about a year ago. It takes as much strenght as i will it to. He was worth it, so i used more than a common spell. Thank you though, I just have a sense that you were half-elven by the familiar look on your face. It was crossed with a man's and a high-elven lady." she nodded and drank some more.
"The hint that you were a warrior is the way you sat and watched me. People think that it is just a lucky guess... but i study people. It works better that way." she smiled at Eidlin.

(ooc: sorry it took so long, I was out and didn't log out)
Bic: Eidlin nodded to Cellina, "A keen eye is a great trait to have, so be proud of it. However I would like to backtrack a bit. I believe you have the wrong impression of my father. He was a great man, noble and honest. He would never have comitted such an atrosity. It was my mother's own will to leave her people and come with him. I have to say she missed the elven realm greatly, and perhaps that lead to her death," she sighed, but continued with a smile.
"You must know how important such training in magic is, for I take it you're traveled much. A weapon is not always handy, and magic is useful in itself. The only magic I can do is herb magic, and even that has its limits. Besides, it is not magic, only knowledge of the land." Eidlin trailed off, again lost in her past. Yet her eyes focused once more when the barmaid brough her the wine. Pulling out a few coins, she payed the girl and drank. The red liquid burned her from inside, and warmed her up completely. Smiling Eidlin looked at the girl befor her.
"So what do you do here, in the city? I mean, you cannot possibly hand around the tavern every day throwing drunk vermin as him around, although it might sound ammusing to some."

[ooc: that's quite all right]

"Thank you! Oh, I meant that in the kindest manner. I ment that he had fallen in love with her and her choice, as you said, was to go with. I'm sorry for your loss."

She laughed, "It's very handy indeed! I'm good with a bow, but it's hard to come by a good one,"
"So what do you do here, in the city? I mean, you cannot possibly hand around the tavern every day throwing drunk vermin as him around, although it might sound ammusing to some."
"It's very amusing, but no. I just did it that once. I had heard a fight going on the first time i came in here. I cleaned that up with an energy orb." she smirked, "This is my second time in here.... I've only been shopping once in the City Square but besides that, i'm just exploring."

"Oh, and here I was hoping you would tell me that there was something horribly dangerous and exciting to do here," Eidlin smiled. "But to tell you the truth, that is exactly what I'm doing here, among other things. And thank you for the sympathy, but my parents died a while back now and I've dealt with the loss."
Eidlin's eyes suddenly clouded over and a faraway look clouded the gleam in her eyes. The fires and death that she had lived through, the fact that she was the only survivor of a whole village plagued her to that very day. She had lost her life when she was only five, and it was only now being rebuilt. She knew that she had not dealt with the deaths of her loved ones, but that didn't mean that she couldn't lie to herself about it. With effort, she looked at the girl before her and smiled.

Cellina nodded understanding. She had lost her parents a long while ago too. But something in the tone of her voice told Cellina that she was lieing. She drank some of her flat wine and looked up at the girl, "Are you sure about that?"

Startled, Eidlin looked up at Cellina. This girl was too observative, for she had seen what many other people could not.
"I guess keeping things from you is going to be difficult, huh?" Eidlin said, although she was smiling warmly. "I have accepted the loss of my parents, but I have lost too many people besides them to really be over all of the deaths."
She stopped, wondering how much she should tell the elf before her. "The village that I lived in was not large, only about 100 people lived in it. Well, it just so happened that a plague spread through and over the course of three years it killed everyone who remained in the city. I, a five year old child, was the only survivor. How, I do not know, but it was a miracle that as the nomads raided the dead city and burned all that remained, my father's friend happened to ride through and he picked me up from the ruins."
Eidlin took a long drink of her wine and with a deep breath, she continued her tale. "It is the death of the entire village that I cannot deal with. There were so many that died while suffering, even my mother was taken although she had been weak for a while before that. I cannot except the fact that I was the only one alive, for it just isn't possible. A child's body is not as strong as that of a grown man, so how could he succumb to it and the child not?" She sighed and lightly shook her head. She had asked herself that question for so many years now, and she still could not answer it.

Cellina smiled, "Indeed it will." she listened to the girl's story and nodded at the end.
"Either the spirit of your loving mother and father were there to protect you, or maybe the elvin gods were watching you, hense your mother being an elf?" she looked a the girl, trying to give her some comfort.
"The heart of determination is sure to go much farther than the one of pride and nobility."

"But sure not all elves are that egocentric. I mean, they cannot all possibly think that their race is above that of others," Eidlin said although she meant it as a question. "You for one, are an exception for as you said yourself, you care for others more than for the elves."
She didn't know much about the elves to begin with. From her mother she received far more beautiful stories than those that she heard from the villages through which she traveled. She hoped to find a common ground between what she had heard.

"But anyway..."

Eidlin was surprised to hear that Cellina only knew of a few elves. But there was a great deal that she had yet to learn about this stranger.
"If you don't mind me asking, how long did you live in the elven realm?"
There was so much that Eidlin wanted to find out about the elves, but there was no point in asking Cellina if she only knew as much as Eidlin did herself.
